In Good Spirits: Business Design / Iterative Steps
In Good Spirits
Course: Sustainable Business Models
Roles: Researcher, Strategy Designer, Packaging Designer
Team: Alexis Madara / Michelle Rotbart / Sergio Venegas
This project was part of a Sustainable Business Models course in my master’s program at Parsons. The objective of the assignment was to look into an industry and pick an area of focus within industry it to design a product or service.
I worked in a team of three in this project and I was specifically in charge of research and interview questions, developing insights, looking into potential customer segments, packaging, and service offerings.
When we looked over the competitive landscape we found a space missing in cocktail boxes that included alcohol and fresh ingredients.
We then tested 4 Hypotheses through interviews. We conducted around 15 interviews.
And found trends and insights in our collected data.
Round 2
After hearing what potential customers had to say, we updated our problem statement and created customer segments / personas
After creating our lean canvas, we went back to customers to retest our assumptions.
Round 3
From our second round of interviews we were able to mock up an MVP and redirect our vision for our Lean Canvas.
We added atmosphere advice, suggesting playlists, presentation, activities, lighting, and hoeur d’oeuvre pairings and a partnership with PartySmart hangover prevention supplements to create a unique value space.
Financials
With our revenue streams and cost structure set we were ready to get into the numbers.
